Partners Tour

Various events will be organised forpartners.

Monday 13th September 2010 - There is a morning sightseeing tour of Glasgow taking in panoramic views of the city centre, River Clyde, Glasgow Cathedral, the Burrell Collection and the Merchant City, followed by free time in the afternoon for independent shopping and sightseeing.

Tuesday 14th September 2010 - There is a Spa day trip to Turnberry Hotel Spa where the stresses and strains of everyday life can melt away. Enjoy an atmosphere of utter relaxation in the spa and pool with exceptional views of the Ayrshire Coast and Ailsa Craig.

Whisky distillery trip – the tour travels to Glengoyne Distillery at the foot of the Campsie fells. There will be a tour of the distillery followed by a tasting. After the distillery tour there will be a visit to Loch Lomond Shores and the Loch Lomond National Park.

Wednesday 15th September 2010 - there is an afternoon of various sporting activities planned for delegates and their partners to enjoy.

Royal Yacht Britannia - LeithThursday 16th September 2010 - there is a day trip planned to the capital city of Scotland taking in the following attractions: Edinburgh Castle - Edinburgh Castle dominates the city like no other castle in Scotland. The Castle is home to Scotland’s Crown Jewels, ‘The Honours of Scotland’ and the Stone of Destiny. Palace of Holyroodhouse – Founded as a monastery in 1128, the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh is The Queen's official residence in Scotland. Situated at the end of the Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is closely associated with Scotland's turbulent past, including Mary, Queen of Scots, who lived there between 1561 and 1567. Successive kings and queens have made the Palace of Holyroodhouse the premier royal residence in Scotland. Today, the Palace is the setting for State ceremonies and official entertaining. Royal Yacht Britannia - The Royal Yacht Britannia is a magnificent ship which has served the Royal family for over 40 years. Tour around at leisure and take in the wonderful history and life of this amazing ship.
